Bram Stoker's Dracula book cover design

This project is a contest work in which there were created a book cover design and the endpaper illustration. The chosen book is Bram Stoker's "Dracula".
Dracula is an ancient supernatural creature. But the non-local understands it only after hitting count's net.

Drawing process
The title - count's name - is a composition of letters two of which remind tower spires by their sharpened endings. Through the symbols there is seen a hand drawn ink illustration of count's castle, tinted purple red and placed in full size on the endpaper. In a manner this is what a mortal should do when he meets count on his way - look in depth, discard the external. After getting closer it becomes clear that he's not a human, and inside him there lives a bloodthirsty monster.
Motif of the count's castle in cover design pops up every now and then also because for Dracula everything ends exactly where he wished to go away from - on his native land.
